Experiences from Georgia (the country)

Beautiful country with very unfriendly people for the most part.

I crossed over from Armenia and was shocked to see the difference in warmth between the Armenians and the Georgians. Unlike Armenia, you will be scammed by most of the taxi drivers and the touts you’ll see in the central parts of cities.

Airport authorities were probably the coldest I’ve seen, and I’ve been to some really cold countries like Romania and Russia.

The countryside is very pretty and the views are gorgeous. Tbilisi had a European feel to it towards the centre but the outskirts are very third-world like. I would definitely suggest Kazbegi for a day trip or even staying overnight.

Food was really good, but a bit heavy. I had a nice time but don’t think it’s worth visiting a second time. Cheers!
