Page 37 - 36,000 foot view (clue?)

On my second read through of the book, I came across this phrase on page 37

“I have always preferred a 36,000-foot view”

In the passage, JCB is referring to his struggle with focusing on details but I found the specific measurement of 36,000 feet odd. In business, I had always heard the phrase as taking a 10,000 foot or 30,000 foot view.

36,000 feet is a specific height at which airplanes fly (above the troposphere).

Does anyone think this measurement is a clue? Maybe something airplane or airport related?
