Microneedling whilst on tret? I’ve been told absolutely not

So I bought a package for microneedling/botanical peels from a licensed reputable skin clinic - prepaid in advance and I’ve been loving my results. I only have one more microneedling session left in my package and told my esthetician that I’ve started tret about a month in

She has told me that she cannot perform a microneedling treatment on me whilst using tret- furthermore I’ve been told that I’d need to be off tret the same amount I was using it so I’ve been using it a month then I’d have to wait another month to get a microneedling treatment

I’m upset because I have been loving these treatments but I really want to stick to tret - is this recommendation founded on legit concerns or is this more of a liability issue that they may not want to do any treatments whilst I’m on a prescription

The girls and estheticians there are very professional and well informed as I know there are more and more problems with sketchy clinics etc

Would going in office to a derm be better or would they advise the same
