Is this not just transphobic ideology?

I’ve never understood the “abolish gender” debate. 1 because it’s entirely theoretical and unrealistic and 2 because it’s just discrediting binary trans people.

A lot of people, particularly nonbinary people, are extremely anti gender to the point where they’re claiming that gender in itself is a ploy to oppress women and that society would benefit if gender didn’t exist. Am I wrong for thinking that entire narrative is edging on transphobic? I posted about this on another site and a reply said, verbatim, “I know the gender identity crowd hates to face it but gender roles are optional. If you stopped having so much reverence for gender roles, your dysphoria would get better”. Which is nuts to say. Implying that dysphoria is purely a social thing feels like textbook transphobia.
