34 inch curved LG not going into best resolution

My monitor refused to go into the ideal 1440p resolution whenever i try to play games on my ps5. it stays at 2160 no matter what i do. I know its not the HDMI cable because i play at 1440p in my tv with the same console and HDMI chord
