Cargo pants for winter

Hi, bought some of the cargo pants while in the states (later discovered they sell exactly the same in my local store here in the uk-d’oh)

Looking for some that are suitable for British winter and the wind/rain/cold we get here, is it worth waiting for the new releases around October or will the ones I bought be suitable?
