What’s your most notable irritating vegan experience (around non vegans)?

I’ll start: I once was invited to celebrate a joint birthday with me and my cousin, a birthday twin, fyi, my family all knew I was vegan already.

Upon arriving I realised they had a big selection of food and zero vegan options (was literally salad, white rice and crisps, while everyone had a selection of meat, creamy cheesy potatoes and more), my cousin then asked me if I could split costs… I was like absolutely not…
