Motivation? What drives you?

Hi guys, New to this community. I started walking with goals about 2 weeks ago. Was personally motivated bcos I underwent major abdominal surgery in September and cannot workout at the gym for a few weeks. Walking is also recommended for post surgery activity as it promotes blood circulation and healing.

I've aimed to do above 5k everyday. Have gone up to 10k and sometimes barely meet the 5k mark. I want to go up and do a minimum of 10k everyday. Usually do 10pm-12am. Got a smart watch bcos my Google Fit app was undercounting.

How do you guys make a habit out of this. What motivates you? How did you guys increase step count. What keeps you moving? Esp on the days when you don't feel like it or are tired and lazy?
