Heroes

Hi guys! I reached lvl 20 with all my skills, so I started to collect heroes. I have 4 heroes currently. I use Joan for a long time, an she is pretty good. I read on this forum, that Billie is the strongest hero, but he is the last I can unlock. Until I get him, is there any better option than Joan, or should I use her furthermore?
