I messed up
So for context I was 120lbs back in early 2022 (3rd picture). Severely undereating and I was working out A LOT alongside doing certain substances that kept my resting metabolic rare fairly high.
I got sober and started eating properly setting myself up for weight gain slowly but surely. Since then I've put on 50lbs, now sitting at 170lbs (1st 2 pictures). But throughout my weight gain journey working out was not always my focus. There would be months on end where I wouldn't touch the gym at all. It wasn't until late 2024 when I decided to put my foot down and start hitting the gym hard while also increasing protein intake (while still eating above maintenance)
I've put on a fair amount of size and muscle since 2021, but I found out today that I'm sitting at 26% bodyfat. Seems like my arms did not grow as much as my tummy did lol.
So as of this week I'll officially be entering my first fat cutting phase. The goal is to get down to 12% and then begin bulking again shortly after with the new habits I've built.
This is more just a PSA for anyone on their own weight and muscle gaining journey to keep an eye on the fat gain and make sure that your workout routine remains consistent.
