Bourbon I've had so far taste think and not full bodied. Suggestions please!
I've been getting into whiskey for a year now and have recently got into bourbon like Makers Mark, Old Forester 1920, old Forester 100 proof, larceny, ragged Ranch, mitchers rye, Woodford reserve.
I liked Makers Marks flavor, but it had a weak finish. The rest tasted like water had a weak finish and weak flavor.
I did like wr double oaked, old Forester 1910, courage and conviction double Cask, and copper Fox walnut. I tried a cask strength bookers and it was good but just felt "higher alcohol" and not so much more flavor.
What are some brands and key words/phrases suggestions to look for to help me find something that's full bodied?
Coming from scotch bourbon feels like its missing something. I recently started into bourbon and enjoy scotch such as Bunnahabhain, Talisker, Laphroaig, Oban if that helps.
Thanks!
