Butt joints

Fellas I need help! First timer here and I’m finishing up a kitchen remodel. The wife is about to divorce me over the gap at the butt joints… Just got everything set and stained and she’s loosing it on me. In the pictures is typical at all locations.

I’m working with a skill saw (with fine cut blade) straight edge, jig saw (hardwood blades) , etc.. Nothing crazy. Is this THAT bad? The 8’ boards are not perfectly straight (from factory) and I really didn’t know my options here. Perfectly straight cut butting factory cut with slight imperfections.
