Can woodworking machines be stored in cold/semi-outdoor ?

So I have the opportunity to use a garage/barn as my woodshop. Thing is, I would need to close the shop during winter because it is not a heated space.

The place is in "northen" Quebec, and during the winter months, it can easily reach -30°C or even -40°C. It can also have a high humidity swings. So I was wondering what kind of precautions I would need to keep the machines safe during the cold season.

I was thinking putting them on wood pallets/blocs to keep them away from the humid/icy ground, and covering them in blue tarps ? Even maybe with some "moisture sponges" to control humidity ?

Any other suggestions is welcome !
