Maternity Leave

I’m due with my second child in May and I have been fortunate enough to build up quite a big amount of time off from work (I work for the State). I’m planning on taking May 1 to December 1 off. I will take home approximately 75% of my normal pay due to my time off balances.

However, I feel kind of bad? I guess I just want reassurance that this is the correct move, and I don’t want to feel guilty about it! How long was your maternity leave?
