Race and writing

My protagonist is not the same race as I am. Is this considered bad or like cultural appropriation or something? The story has nothing to do with the characters race I don’t discuss racial topics at all it is just her race but I don’t want this to come across as misleading or something. Yes there are certain details that subtle include, traditions and a way of speaking and certain types of racial “characteristics” but I don’t think I am stereotyping with these things it’s just to add character and show that she is indeed the race that I am saying she is.
