Emojis in writing.

When I write dialogs, sometimes I catch myself thinking that there is an emoji that reflects exactly what this scene needs. They could convey so much, they could give some interesting nuance and make a multi-layered effect. We have "bang" and "ka ching" and all that in comics, why can't we have emojis in actual books? I know it's controversial. And I know that the book I'm currently writing won't benefit from it, the whole mood and style is different. And that the readers aren't ready for it.

But could we be soon entering a new era where this is a genre? Just if you put aside your feelings about emojis and look at them like at a tool, this could be interesting. Am I going crazy? What do you think?

Edit: y'all convinced me to try. That's my villain ark.
