Does anyone know what this part is, removed it from the engine bay to fit a second battery do I need to relocate it? Thanks

Does anyone have any idea what this is? Had a line going to the fuel tank and other two disconnected. I've had to move it to install a second battery, is it nessacry to relocate it to somewhere else in the engine bay or can I forget about it? Car seems to run fine without it. Thanks
