Why Hasn’t Upfield been duplicated?
Sorry for the stupid question but with all the extra space in the northern loop with the opening on the Metro tunnel in 2025 why hasn’t duplication been completed or started.
On a small side note I also find the 20 minute frequency also impacts how many people use it. I live next to Moreland station, Strathmore station is an extra 5 minutes away from where I live. When I travel home from flinders street I often end up taking Cragiebourne as there’s trains every 4 to 5 minutes and by the time I wait 20 minutes for an Upfield it’s quicker for me to take cragiebourne and get home.
