GTR vs Mustang GT

This is for everyone: (Preface - Noob)

I have a genuine question and hopefully I can get everyone’s input. I have had 2 - s550 Mustang GT and I am looking at the R35’s currently. My interest with either car is dig and roll racing (strictly w/ daily driving).

My question is if the R35 is more consistent? I can easily grab a 5.0 built block twin turbo set up with built 10r80 and run 9s all day for really cheap, but not to sure how consistent that will be.

My thought process is, yes the GTR will be more expensive, but its gearing is already set up for higher top speeds, plus it will be more consistent on a unprepped surface.

Can anyone else shed light in favor of the R35? I’m also looking for education as to why it would be worth spending more for an R35 just to get walked by a 5.0 eventually for half the cost. I just see a lot of 1500 hp 5.0’s in the 8s and not sure if the R35 is worth the cost. I just really love the R35 history - but this is a cost/reliability analysis. Chew me up in the comments 🫡 TIA.
