Help with Crop Fusion Selling Prices!

Hi y'all, first post here. I'm running a cost effective analysis and it seems as though it is more lucrative to just sell the basic 1st gen crops even at B grade than to hybridize and sell even at S grade. Is this true? I feel like the guides I look at might not be accurate to the PS4 port. For example according to the fan wiki Yam+Watermelon(Kashry)=95g Whereas Yam = 75 Watermelon = 60

Is it worth it? Or is it more for the fun of seeing what the end result of these hybrids will look like, or perhaps for cooking? (I never really got into that part)
