I appreciate your feedback, thank you. Honestly though, I’m not worried about the bullying, hazing, or harassment of any kind. I can handle some harsh shit and people suck no matter what but I don’t care. My only worry and concern is about the possibility of eventually being forced to be identified as my birth gender and having hormones being taken from me. My contract is only 3 years but that’ll be the longest, most excruciating 3 years I’ll have to face if it comes to that and I honestly don’t want to physically, mentally or emotionally get put through that against my will.

Respect your input 110%. And yeah, you’re correct. I haven’t had bottom surgery and already know basic might be extra difficult in that aspect. I try to give myself reassurance with that because the DOD states “certain accommodations” for trans people regarding all of that BUT also I assume a good majority of the army couldn’t care less about that even it was for people’s own safety in some situations ya know. On that note though, I actually live off post of Ft. Leonard Wood currently and have talked to new recruits that got stationed here that just came from Ft. Moore that said they did have stalled/curtain dividers in the showers now. But who knows. I know I have the option to back out of my contract before I ship out and I’m strongly considering now. It’s just sucks and is a little disheartening after working towards something like this that I’ve always wanted to do. Enlisting is already not an easy process for a good amount cis gender people and especially difficult for transgender people. So to make it this far with a ship out date, maaann do I feel like a got shit on
