I found this little gem for just $0.20 at a thrift store: Savoir écrire toutes les lettres, a 1955 edition. The chapter titles are utterly charming : How to write a marriage proposal to an orphan, a letter from a little boy to his godfather, a thank-you note after a countryside stay, etc...

This flax was home-grown and hand-spun by me. I'm considering using it as weft with a linen-cotton warp. Should I ply it or would a singles yarn be stable enough for this application? I'd appreciate any insights!

I once thought nettle fiber was the height of toil and time, but now begins my journey spinning threads from milkweed stems. I can’t wait to see the story it will tell, once it’s been knit.

I’ve started spinning this beautiful Gotland wool. Such an unusual fiber—lustrous and smooth, almost like "sheep's linen" It’s a completely new spinning experience for me! If you ever get the chance, don’t hesitate to get your hands on this remarkable fiber!

I found this little gem in my favorite second-hand store: a straw-yellow linen dishcloth, intricately open-worked and hand-embroidered in a delightfully naive manner. Yet another piece to add to the pile of linens that are strictly forbidden to be used!

Hello, I fell in love with this cotton sheet for $5, sold in a second-hand store near my home. I immediately knew it was meant to become a Victorian-ish apron, inspired by its delicate floral pattern and its almost white cream color.

Have you ever spun 100% cotton fiber? I find it very strange, the fiber is extremely short and the amount of twist required is, oh my god! But the texture is very pleasant and even the sound is different from that of wool... This batch is divinely dyed in soft colors, it comes from Fiber Imp.

Hello! I found this modest, very vintage weaving loom on Marketplace, and I had fun upgrading it. I replaced the 7.5 dpi reed with a 15 dpi one, which I had to shorten a bit, and now I'm discovering new techniques! This little loom probably never expected to be used this much!

Hello! I found some nettle stalks I had forgotten about in my workshop, and surprise, they yielded beautiful soft fibers in a lovely pale color. I can't wait to have enough to make a weaving larger than this one!

Hello, I am desperately looking for playlists that could accompany my medieval crafting in a calm and dreamy way. I weave, spin, and embroider, and I feel as though I have exhausted all my instrumental options.

A farm near my place that raises alpacas was selling beautiful raw wool, simply washed and carded. The fibers are quite short compared to the merino I’ve been spinning lately, but it’s such a pleasure to spin the wool from Ginger, a female alpaca I had the pleasure of taking care of one summer!

Damn, I really love handpainting roving grab bags! Here are my first three creations. I just sorted the rovings by texture and color, and I find it really motivating to have a kind of "forced theme" to create freely according to my imagination!

Hello! I just received my order from Fiber Imp! The plain rovings came in a solid-colored mixed fiber bag, and I'm really happy with the colors I received: Merino, bamboo, silk, and Corriedale. Happy Christmas to me!
