Are we reading the same post by OP? OP said they are both drained afterwards. He thinks it’s normal but this has always been his “normal”. OP has not said her BF has agreed with what they are saying and their viewpoints, her issue with comments is from his family yet he it is unfortunately normalised by it. However, he is drained too - the body keeps the score. It is effecting him but it doesn’t sound like he knows how to process it all and deal with it. If OP communicates with BF and he understands and works with OP, also working through his own stuff too, they can see if there’s a way forward together. You are entirely judgey and assuming, could be from your own experiences, that doesn’t mean everyone and every situation is the same.

Yes you’re right! In his world this behavior has always been normal and I honestly can’t imagine how this must feel like. When I first met his mom she kept making fun of him even though he was visible upset. After I first brought it up to him how weird I find that behavior, he told me that when the mom of his ex girlfriend met his mom for the first time, the same thing happened where she would just make jokes at his expense. His ex girlfriends mom was shocked and asked him about it but he didnt know how to react since this was completely normal to him. My bf is 26 now and even though I do see a lot of good qualities in him, I’m just not sure if he will ever be able to see how crazy this behavior is and stand up for himself
