Lab tests claim denied

Want to ensure I read your post correctly. Doc is out of network, and so is lab for blood work.

I think if the tests are covered as per your policy you’ll just pay your deductible/copay/coinsurance. However, if they require prior authorization and the provider didn’t obtain that as they are OON, you might not be able to get it retroactively approved. In-network doctors are oftentimes contractually obligated to handle prior authorization for you, so that’s my only call out to go to in-network.

I see, thanks! Is this something a Quest provider would have seen before administering these tests? I had brought in my lab sheet, but they ended up having all the tests on their computer too.
