The Sixers kept talking with Camden despite a Philly deal, sources told Inquirer columnist Marcus Hayes. The city was desperate to accommodate the Sixers’ pivot to South Philly because even after the downtown arena deal passed a vote by City Council, the Sixers were negotiating with Camden.
